New paper published on integrated coastal vulnerability of the Croatian coast

Our dear colleagues and team members, Ivan Marić and Ante Šiljeg from Center for Geospatial Technologies from University of Zadar, have published a paper titled “Integrated coastal vulnerability index for coastal flooding: A case study of the Croatian coast” in the Q1 journal Environmental and Sustainability Indicators.

This paper presents an innovative integrated coastal vulnerability index (ICVI) that can be used to assess coastal vulnerability to flooding. The model combines two main sub-indices: the physical vulnerability index and the socio-economic vulnerability index, which provide valuable insights for decision-makers.

By applying this model, stakeholders can implement integrated coastal zone management strategies more effectively and better protect the Croatian coast and its communities.

We are particularly proud that this research was conducted in collaboration with students to encourage their participation in scientific research.
