Our dear colleagues and team members, Ivan Mari\u0107 and Ante \u0160iljeg from Center for Geospatial Technologies from University of Zadar, have published a paper titled “Integrated coastal vulnerability index for coastal flooding: A case study of the Croatian coast” in the Q1 journal Environmental and Sustainability Indicators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This paper presents an innovative integrated coastal vulnerability index (ICVI) that can be used to assess coastal vulnerability to flooding. The model combines two main sub-indices: the physical vulnerability <\/a>index and the socio-economic vulnerability index, which provide valuable insights for decision-makers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By applying this model, stakeholders can implement integrated coastal zone management strategies more effectively and better protect the Croatian coast and its communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are particularly proud that this research was conducted in collaboration with students to encourage their participation in scientific research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
